Erika Córdova
Erika Córdova is a partner of the Firm, specializing in specialized advice on trademarks and patents.
Erika was a founding partner of the firm Córdova, Campos & Calderón, S.C., which has merged with BE THE IP to combine experiences, knowledge, and strengthen specific areas and strategies for the benefit of its clients.
She has worked as an industrial property lawyer for clients in various industries, including healthcare, food and beverage, telecommunications, and entertainment. In 2010, she founded Patentanet International, S. de R.L. de C.V., an agency dedicated to the registration of trademarks, patents, and intangible asset valuation, and in 2007, she founded te industrial property area of one of Mexico’s leading dairy product companies, achieving protection for over 500 intangible assets in Mexico and abroad.
She has prepared hundreds of legal opinions and filed hundreds of trademark applications, as well as represented various clients in infringement, expiration, and nullity proceedings before the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property.
She has extensive experience in drafting contracts related to the exploitation of intellectual property rights, conducting due diligence on intellectual property assets, advising on royalty contracts, and developing and implementing industrial property strategies to achieve client objectives.
Her experience in the marketing and business fields allows her to have a particular and comprehensive approach to client needs. She is characterized as “enthusiastic and energetic,” “reasonable and fair in her conclusions regarding the resolution of complex issues,” and “empathetic to the client.”
She is an active member of the Mexican Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property, A.C. (“AMPPI”) and the International Trademark Association (“INTA”), and regularly publishes and lectures on intellectual property topics at various public and private universities throughout Mexico.

Master of Corporate Law, magna cum laude, from the Universidad Panamericana (UP).
She has completed exchanges with the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), Institute of International and Comparative Law from the College of Law of England and Wales, both in England, and with the University of Camagüey in Cuba.
