Gustavo is a partner of the firm, focusing his practice on a variety of strategies to facilitate the effective management, transfer, and commercialization of intellectual property.
Gustavo is a founding partner of the firm Córdova, Campos & Calderón, S.C., which has merged with BE THE IP to combine experiences, knowledge, and strengthen specific areas and strategies for the benefit of his clients.
Having collaborated for nearly 15 years in leading intellectual property firms in Mexico, he has extensive experience in representing matters before the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI), National Institute of Copyright (INDAUTOR), Federal Commission for Protection Against Sanitary Risks (COFEPRIS), and National Service of Seed Inspection and Certification (SNICS).
His particular experience in implementing legal strategies permitted by the Industrial Property Law, and his focus on conducting personal interviews with authorities such as patent, trademark, and litigation examiners, among others, from the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property and other agencies, allows for reconciling and unifying opinions, reaching agreements swiftly, significantly reducing the time and costs associated with such processes.
Gustavo has extensive experience in providing strategic and pragmatic advice in finding the best way to expedite legal processes before the relevant authorities. He remains passionately committed until objectives are achieved. He is often described as “efficient and practical in his strategies.”
